Ugh::::

Alright well our rent went up again, and at this rate any more raising and
we won't be saving any money living where we are living with the rent. So,
we have kind of killed the idea of upgrading our RV.

Now, our next exploration will be to purchase a house. We decided with the
rent increase in the next year, Andrew and I are gonna powerhouse it and
save like our saving is a credit card payment and put away some major money
so we can buy a house. We are gonna sacrifice majorly to make this work
because we don't have another option unless we want to rent which would be
a major step back for Andrew and I financially. We will probably go FHA but
we will talk about it when we get there. So, keep us in your prayers so we
can bust out some major cash to buy a house.

I don't want a huge house, or a new house. One I have to fix up would be
just fine for us. I am not picky really except for what area it is located
in, I don't want to be in the ghetto. I would like something we can
decorate and paint ourselves and have some babies in someday.

Oh yeah on a side note, Andrew's parents sold their house in Riverside for
385K. Yipeee, now they don't have to pay 2 mortgages.

Happy Father's Day

Not just to my earthly Father but also to my Heavenly Father who has loved
me before I was born and has given me life. I pray that I have honored My
Father and made Him proud to call me His child. I want to be sitting in
your lap Lord and hearing your voice. I have whispered your name
"Father..." and I have screamed it sometimes in anguish but you are a
faithful Father who has loved far beyond what my mind can ever comprehend.
Today, I say Happy Father's Day to the Father of all Fathers!!!

RV's

We drove out to Pomona yesterday and looks at a few models of 5th wheels.
Found a floor plan that had room to put a crib in. It was 45,000 so, kinda
more than we are going to pay but at least now we know what we like and
don't like about floor plans. Ohhh, I can't wait to have little ones :)

So frustrated

Well, I feel kinda bummed because maybe there is something Andrew and I are
doing wrong with the youth. Last year a lot of high school kids graduated
and stopped coming to Barefeet so our numbers dropped quite a bit. We can't
seem to get more kids to some to Barefeet. We call the kids every week and
make sure to see if they want to come and nothing. Our college group is
just booming, we average 15 young adults every tuesday with continued
growth. We are having a hard time feeling like we are reaching them, we are
going to do a community outreach and see if we can get more to come on
Monday nights. Please Seriously pray for Andrew and I to know how to get
more kids to come. Sometimes I just cry because it's so hard to understand
why it's not growing. Do we need to fast Lord, to find the answer? Lord
please, help us to be good leaders and bring the kids to know integrity and
the truth of you. Lord, we are asking you to completely drown Monday nights
with your blessings. If you have any suggestions let me know, we are OPEN!
Please keep Andrew and I in your prayers and Monday nights. The woes of
being ministry are rewarding but also at time very hard because of the ups
and downs. I am thankful that God is able to use us.

Sometimes Andrew and I often wonder if God will some day use us to be
church planters because God has made our life so mobile right now. We live
in a 5th wheel... If God called us to somewhere else in the nation, we
wouldn't even need to pack. We could just hitch up and leave :) It's such a
cool feeling but also really scary because I would need to leave the only
place I've ever known.

Open door

Pastor Cor spoke on John 10:1-30, It's not enough to JUST know where the
door to Salvation is, we have to walk through it and accept it. We cannot
look at the door of Salvation from the outide and say we're saved. We have
to walk through and receive God's blessing of forgiveness. Too many people
in our society think that if they look at the door long enough that they
are saved. If you dont't know Christ, think about how he could bless you.
If you confess with your mouth the Jesus is Lord, and believe with all your
heart, then you will be saved.

Don't be complacent in where you are in your faith, be active and
expressive about what God has done for you. Be willing to look at where you
are in your faith and always be striving toward growing closer to Christ.
Never give up on meeting together and knowing God more.

Funny video

This video was from Melissa's birthday a few months back, but it is still so dang funny. We went to build a bear, and the bear you see is one that I am making hardcore dance while we are driving in the truck. So funny :)

Listen to God's Word

"Does my critique of believbers who don't pay attention to God's Word seem harsh? Often I've observed that people do not listen in church, and my sympathies are with those who, when they finally plop down in the pew are completely exhausted from a week of work and a harried morning's rush to get to church. I am also sympathetic with those who have given up listening because the pastor is poorly prepared or has himself given up on preaching God's Word in favor of more popular themes. But when God's Word is preached we must discipline ourselves to listen in spite of difficulties because listening is God's will for us. Hear Jesus' words: "My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they shall never perishl no one can snatch them out of my hand" (John 10:25-28, emphasis added). "

My meds

Not a huge dilemma but, when I switched jobs my insurance dropped until August. So, I attempted to fill my rx through Savon's, but when they called had no refills left. So they said, oh just contact your Dr to get authorized for a refill. So, I contacted Kaiser to get the contact for my Dr. Well, she doesn't work at Kaiser anymore. So, now I cannot get a refill unless I pay out of pocket for the Dr's appt and the rx, which we can't afford. We figured whatever happens is in God's hands. Keep us in your prayers.

Alrighty so here's the deal...

After speaking with our accountant, Andrew's dad, we were trying to decide what we were going to do next with the living situation. We can't really afford a mortgage yet, so looking at anything but a complete junker is out of the question. So, our options are this... 1) we will need to buy a different 5th wheel with a better floor plan in case we have an unplanned surprise so we want a 5th wheel with the ability to put a crib in. Anyway, plan one is buy a piece of land decently sized and not too expensive, put the 5th wheel on it and slowly build a paneled (pre-fab) home. Or 2) Buy a junker house that need major repair, fix it piece by piece and meanwhile living in the 5th wheel until the house is liveable. So, let me know which idea you think would be better.

Unless, the property values in Riverside drop severely then these are our only options.

Pray that God gives us guidance in what to do with our finances He's given us, and that his direction will be clear.

Mr Woodbury's last performance

Today, one of our kids in the youth group attends Ramona and is in the Madrigals there. Ramona is also my alma mater, and I sang for 6 years under Mr Woodbury. In June, he will be retiring after 27 years of choir teaching at Ramona and also at Sierra Middle School. When I was going through junior high and high school, I didn't appreciate him that much. Looking back I appreciate him, he taught me a lot about singing, about loving music completely in every genre. He also taught me about how to be picky about voices and listen for flaws. I am critical of myself and my own singing not because I am self conscious but because Mr Woodbury loved near perfection in voices. So, I thank you, Mr Woodbury, for giving me a passion for singing and making me strive more to make my voice more beautiful. Thank you for your passion for music, which has been passed onto other students, and also for caring so much for your students. A bittersweet ending I am sure!!

I need my meds...

J/K. Well, this month I have been completely without insurance and won't have any until august 1st, so now I can't get any medications or have any dr's appts until august. So, now it's a waiting game and well to be honest kinda frightening at the same time. I hope nothing serious happens to me... keep me in yours prayers. Also, we need extreme direction for finances as to what God wants us to do either buy a townhome, or a bigger rv, or just stay with what we have. Pray that God shows us the right decision to make. Love ya all.

Thoughts for today

"But true discipline is a far cry from legalism- thank God! The difference lies in motivation: Legalism is self-centered; discipline is God-centered. The legalistic heart says, 'I will do this thing to gain merit with God.' The disciplined hearts says, 'I will do this because I love God and want to please Him.' "

5 Questions from the DaVinci Code

5 Big Questions from The Da Vinci Code
A brief guide.
by Christianity Today magazine editor Collin Hansen

Download this article as a Free One-Page Guide to hand out and discuss with your family and friends.

Already an international publishing sensation, The Da Vinci Code now is a feature film directed by Ron Howard and starring Tom Hanks. The compelling story written by Dan Brown blurs the line between fact and fiction, so moviegoers have joined readers wondering about the origins and legitimacy of orthodox Christianity. This guide offers brief answers to five important questions.

1. Was Jesus married to Mary Magdalene?
No. Mary Magdalene was certainly close to Jesus. She wept at Jesus' tomb (John 20). Jesus even entrusted her to return and tell the disciples about his resurrection. But we have no reason to believe they were married. Brown says that Leonardo da Vinci's Last Supper reveals the secret. He writes that the figure to Jesus' right, traditionally known as the apostle John, is actually Mary. Not true. Artists often gave characters feminine features to portray youth. John was the youngest of the disciples.

Brown correctly observes that few Jewish men of Jesus' day did not marry. But why, then, did the apostle Paul, himself celibate, not mention Jesus and Mary when he argued that apostles could marry (1 Cor. 9:5)?

2. What about these alternative gospels that aren't in the New Testament?
It's true that the Bible did not arrive as a "fax from heaven," as Brown writes. The New Testament canon in its current form was first formally attested in 367. Nevertheless, church leaders applied important standards when compiling the Bible. Authors of accepted writings needed to have walked and talked with Jesus, or at least with his leading disciples. Their teaching could not contradict what other apostles had written, and their documents must have been accepted by the entire church, from Jerusalem to Rome. Church leaders considered earlier letters and reports more credible than later documents. Finally, they prayed and trusted the Holy Spirit to guide their decisions.

The so-called Gnostic gospels, many discovered just last century, did not meet these criteria. Many appeared much later than the Bible and were dubiously attributed to major Christian leaders. Their teachings contrasted with what apostles like Paul had written. For example, many Gnostic writings argued that Jesus did not appear in the flesh, because flesh is evil, or they rejected the Old Testament.

3. Were there really competing Christianities during the early church?
Yes—in the sense there were many disputes about the nature of Jesus. And the church has done its best to vanquish challengers to orthodoxy. Once the church decided against the Gnostic writings, they gathered and burned all the Gnostic manuscripts they could find.

Later church councils convened to discuss other threats to Christian orthodoxy. Constantine, the first Roman emperor to make Christianity legal, called the most important of these meetings in 325. Leaders from around the Christian world gathered in Nicea, where they debated Arianism, which taught that God created Jesus. Brown writes that Constantine called this council so he could introduce a new divine Jesus on par with the Father. On the contrary, documents from before Nicea show that most followers of Jesus already called him LORD, the Yahweh of the Old Testament. The church leaders at Nicea rejected Arianism and affirmed that God and Jesus existed together from the beginning in the Trinity. This council produced the first drafts of what became the Nicene Creed, a landmark explanation of Christian belief.

4. What is Opus Dei?
A conservative religious group within the Roman Catholic Church. Opus Dei urges priests and laypeople to strenuously pursue sanctification through everyday discipline. The group has taken criticism for its conservative views, zeal, and secretive practices. There is no evidence that Opus Dei has resorted to murder; nor has the Vatican entrusted Opus Dei to violently guard the church's deepest secrets, as Dan Brown claims in The Da Vinci Code.

5. Does the Priory of Sion really exist?
Yes, but not as described by Brown. Researchers suspect that members of the real-life Priory of Sion, founded in 1956, forged documents that placed major historical figures—such as Isaac Newton and Leonard da Vinci—in an ancient secret society. There is no evidence for this group beyond dubious documents. Any story relating this group to a dynasty begun by Jesus and Mary Magdalene is a fanciful work of fiction.

My new Car :)

Here is the picture of my beautiful new car :) YAAAHHHH! Also, we just found out a cool thing about the car too... when you drive at faster speeds the volume on the radio turns itself up and as you slow down it automatically turns the volume down. So awesome!

1 year anniversary and NEW CAR!

Hey Everyone, Friday and today we celebrated our 1 year Anniversary. We went to the Hilton Waterfront in Huntington Beach and stayed 1 night. Awesome view from our room, we went to the Palm Court in the hotel... Andrew ordered the duck which was awesome and I ordered the Salmon which was awesome and followed dinner with a banana foster. Which was very good also. Saturday we woke up late, ate breakfast at Mimi's Cafe in Corona and stopped by the Honda dealership in Riverside. We stopped just to look at the civic.... but after some thought and some coercion we ended up walking out the door with a 2006 Honda Civic sedan silver, such a smooth ride and it makes me feel like I am driving a lexus not a junked escort anymore. I absolutely love it and it gets better gas mileage than my escort...imagine that! It was a little bit more than we wanted to pay but we will keep the car for 10 years and we are looking to pay it off pretty quickly. I can't wait to drive it again :) Also later went hiking to a waterfall near upland, here is the picture:

A side note, I ended walking out on my ending job this last friday. My boss yelled at me for the last time, so on my lunch I decided to go to the President of the company and explain to him what happened. I already gave them my two weeks notice on Wednesday, but Friday she started retaliating against me for me leaving. So, I told him the situation and that I cannot handle this kind of stress for another week and half... it is so ridiculous. Through all my tears in front of him and telling him of my frustration with the position and her as my boss... we both agreed that it would better to make today my last day. I told him, you know I really tried to do this the right way so I could get a good reference and be re-hireable if necessary. He guaranteed me I would be getting a good reference. I told my boss that when I was up the hill I ran into Charlie and had a conversation with him and we agreed that today should be my last day. She said with an attitude, What do you want me to do with your check, I said you can mail it. She said are you sure? I said yes. She said with more attitude, I hope you represented the situation correctly. I said, I did. As of right now, this is my last moment here.
I will be getting a check this week for this last pay period, my two weeks in which I was trying to complete, and any vacation time I had in the bank that was accrued. Which was fair. I didn't want this job to end this way but I guess this is the way it had to happen. So now, I contacted my new employer and wanted to see if it would be possible to start earlier due to new availability. Haven't heard from them, but Monday I should hear whether or not they would start me early which will be like me working two jobs and only working one. So, any money would be nice to put towards my new car!

I gave my resignation today...

And my boss said "Oh... good, well Congratulations." Then the rest of the morning was speaking with my other co-workers about putting an ad in the paper and all that. So, I was kinda expecting a different reaction but I am glad she said what she said. It made it really easy on me. I am very excited for this new position but also very nervous, they are more formal and also have double the employee size of my current job. I will be very busy, but I thank God that he opened the door for this new position. My new boss was my mom's old boss when she first started in Human Resources and mentored my mom. I know she will be a fair and great boss from all the great things my mom has said about her. I know I will learn a lot from Cisca and I look forward to all the things that I think I can bring to Riverside Medical Clinic. Word travels fast because I already had people come up to me and ask me when my last day was and where I will be working. It is crazy, I have been with AFVW for a total of 3 1/2 years, but now I am moving on and looking forward to a much more calm and fair boss.
Thank you to all of you for your prayers for me and also for my sister. My sister is 5 weeks pregnant and has had cramping for about 3 weeks now. So needless to say she was very worried and scared. I thought she may have had a tubal pregnancy because of the pains but she went her 1st dr's appt today and they told her that everything looks fine and that the cramping doesn't concern the dr. So praise God, and thank you to all my friends that knew about this and prayed for her. God is working... just keep her in your prayers that things keep going smoothly.

Job update

I had my interview with the Riverside Medical Clinic this morning, and it went really well. I had the typical interview questions and the person that would be my manager seems really easy going and will not micro-manage. I also met with the VP of Human Resources (my mom's mentor) after and she asked me of course... Why do you want to leave the current company you are with. My answer was "There has been some restructering within the office and it is going a direction that is different from when I first got hired for the position." She asked, so how is it working out with the new Director? I said "She is a bit difficult, and it is different from the direction I am looking to go with the company." So, this afternoon my old boss ran into me in the hallways and said So, you are looking for a new job? I was like huh? She said someone called to ask for a reference for you. So, I explained what happened. The great news is that if they weren't interested in me they wouldn't be asking for my references no more than a few hours later than when I had the interview. They requested that I fax them a copy of my last performace evaluation... my only problem is I am not sure where it is. I am hoping it is in my desk at work but if not. Then I will 1) have to see if I can arrange some more references with the Riverside Medical Clinic or 2) Let my current boss know what is going on so she can give me a copy of the evaluation. I am just praying that my copy of my evaluation is in my desk... ugh.

Hiking... WOW

Okay we went up to Marian Mountain Saturday and went hiking. What I thought was going to be an "easy" trail ended up being more of a trail for people who hike regularly. So, there was snow, which we were all not prepared for. My socks and jeans were completely soaked. By the time we got to walking down the trail, my legs and ankles started to give out and I kept falling in the snow. So, yeah I was frustrated and tired and my butt was wet on top of it because I kept falling. By the end of the night, my throat hurt from the breathing, and my legs ached from the hiking. We were dead tired. This morning after a mega dose of tylenol I feel a ton better. Will be sore for quite some time. I think I will keep hiking though, I want to keep losing weight.

Heart Pains

I found myself crying in my car on the way home from work today. I was listening to "Ocean from Rain" by Seventh Day Slumber, and something just came over me. I was thinking about Andrew's co-worker Gina, her husband was diagnosed with polynueropathy along time ago. Basically, it's a painful disease that strips your nerves of the protective layers, not to mention he has sickle-cell also. He doesn't have good days, he has bad days and worse days. She works with Andrew during the day and cleans the church office above andrew's work to try and make ends meet for them and their 2 children. I was crying because I thought, man if I could get them on Extreme Makeover and they could have everything they need. Or I thought, if God had blessed me with money there would be no doubt that I would do what I could to help them out. It was very hard for me to think that there was nothing in my power that I could do to make it better for them. So, I cried out to the LORD in some effort to plead with the LORD to heal him. I don't know what the purpose is for either of them or for that family, I just hate feeling like there is nothing I can do to help them except for prayer. So I will keep praying for them and hoping that God will hear my plea and grant all of us that request. So, if you think about it pray for Gina and Brian.

I've been moved

I was reading through a friend's blog and saw this quote:

God hints at His purpose for you by planting dreams within your heart.

-Women of the Bible

Ever since I read this quote, I have such a hope. I have been touched by this quote and I don't know how to describe it. I have such dreams of being able to work from home and start a somewhat business from home so I can stay at home once we decide to have kids. That is my ultimate dream, something I so desire. Finding what it is that God wants me to do from home, well that it is totally different story. I know I am pretty good at Marketing Publications, so I might try and send out some flyers offering services for marketing publications for churches or church events. Ehhh, this has been a constant place of frustration for me, I need a business that will be able to make money and allow me to be home but also that won't totally consume me once I have kids. I thought about also doing daycare from the house we move into. So, I have a few ideas but I just need the answer from God on what He wants me to do about this hopefully within the next year because that's when we plan on having children. Pray for me that God will reveal his purpose for this to me. Also, I have an interview on Tuesday for an Human Resources Assistant for the Riverside Medical Clinic, starting pay should be a lot higher than what I am making. Pray that if it is God's will for me to get this job that I will and if not His will, will be revealed.

Addicted to "Lost"

Andrew and I recently bought the "Lost" 1 season when we were in Oregon to watch on the plane and we CANNOT get enough of watching these episodes. Each one is so intriguing and different. Everytime I finish an epidode, I want to keep watching more and more. Oh man, I am gonna finish the DVD set before the new episodes come out :)

New job opportunity

Please keep me in your prayers this week, I was doing some looking around for some jobs this weekend and found at Riverside Medical Clinic they were hiring for an HR Assistant. I read through the job details, and it's really similar to what I am doing now. So, ahwile ago before I started at AFVW, I applied there as an executive assistant because my mom's friend is the VP of Human Resources for that company. So, I checked their website and sure enough found that position. I am hoping to have a conversation with this VP today on my lunch to see I would be able to send my resume to her for possibly being considered for the position. I pray that this works out, I am putting it in God's hands. My current work situation has not gotten any better at all, and in fact last week it got worse with my supervisors attitude and dealings with us in the office. So, I have decided it is time for me to be considering other options at this point. It is too much stress for a job, and I am only 22. So, keep me in your prayers for my work environment to get better and for this possible new position. Also, I applied at Anchor Blue in Ontario for an HR assistant and Mag-Lite for an HR assistant.

Thanks All and Love ya!

Journal entry 4/7/06

I lift these heavy burdens with frail hands
to the heavens I give my every care
For only you, my Salvation. can carry them
I hide within you, my fortress and
I rest on your neverending love
Set me free from this thorn of empty frustration
Deliver me from the pain that haunts me
in the midst of this depth of despair I still cling to you
Don't let one finger lose grasp of what your love has done for me
How could I ever make sense of such chaos
You dear Father, calm the storms within me
I will never let go, I will not be taken over
I have not forgotten your mercies and I see your grace daily
I praise you my dear Savior, I worship you gracious Lord of my life.

Rain to wash away the dirt

God has shown me how sometimes our problems or worries can be like the dirt
on our cars. Sometimes when we forget to wash our cars, the dirt can get
more and more and become even crusted over and hard. Then a puring rain, of
God's love and mercy, flows down and can wash away even the thicker and
caked on dirt of our lives. When we surrender to Him, we allow Him to bring
all the good things that come from being a child of His. Our Father, dear
Father, opens up His arms and we crawl in. We rest in the strength of his
grace and gain wisdom and understanding of who God could be and wants to be
in our lives. Don't take lightly what He truly wants us to obtain... A saving
knowledge of Christ, our Adonai and El Shaddai.

Home now

Came back to a clean home and getting to sleep in a little tomorrow... so I am sad because I miss my momma horribly and I am dreading going back to work on Monday. Back to hum drum routine life again. I cannot wait until I will be able to work from home... someday a dream with a house and kids. Far far away in the distance? Hmmm... who knows!

Coming home

This is a very bittersweet feeling. Coming home to more family and friends
but also leaving my family here in Oregon. Going back to work again and not
being able to see my mom whenever I feel like it. We got spoiled up here
with all the fun and sleeping in...I will miss staying with my mom and her
driving like a race car driver on the snowmobiles. I have such an
overwhelming feeling of missing my mom so much! I guess it might get easier
with time, but who knows....

Andrew's new toy

I bought this toy for andrew called an acrobot... It's way cool. You can
make him stand on his head and he's magnetic. Today we did some shopping in
a little town called Sisters. Had a great burger at Bronco Billy's. Bought
some gifts... And then got some amazing truffles made by Sweetshop and can
be found at sweetshopUsa.com. Totally awesome. We will be snowmobiling
tomorrow afternoon... can't wait to sleep in our own bed again :)

Escort.... Egh

Okay imagine this... We are sitting in our hotel room in our pj's and
suddenly there is a knock at our door. Andrew answers as I am putting on
clothes, and the lady said something along the lines of you ordered a
service. You're room 434 right? I look around the corner and she says I am
with an agency. She's like I bet you're wondering what the heck is going
on. She gets on the phone and starts verifying information... Yeah she
wasn't wearing anything underneath the jacket she was wearing. Hello!!!!!
Ewwwwwwwwwww

Stuck in Portland

Okay so we were supposed to have a connecting flight in Portland OR to
Redmond and our flight got delayed because the plane hit a bird. So,
needless to say we missed our flight to Redmond... Airline paid for our
hotel room and we will catch our new flight 8am tomorrow.

Grilled cheese and soup for dinner tonight

Yep yep... This is the good stuff being a wife and cooking a simple dinner.
Can't wait til I get a full size kitchen in a house!!

MacBook Pro

Alright Alright, we gave in and Andrew bought a new laptop. It was the one he wanted and the greatest of it all is that it is no interest for 24 months. We are gonna get it paid off quickly.
We are looking good and onward to saving for a new car for me!! Who hoo we are probably going to buy a Mazda 3 because it gets good gas mileage and it was highly rated by consumer reports and I really like the style. I would have preferred a SUV but we just cannot and do not want to afford the gas on it.
Looks like my dad is looking at getting married sometime in September, so things have progressed very nicely for my dad and I am so happy that he is moving along and has a companion.
I have been working with a very difficult boss and I don't know even where to start. She is an ordained minister but yet has treated me like crap from day 1. She is horrible with communication and lies every time she turns around. God has really taught me an all around life lesson about difficult people and how to deal with them. See, in the beginning I would get upset when she would lie, get upset about how she presents projects to me and how she disrespects me. I have prayed very hard for quite some time and God has really given me HIS spirit in dealing with her. I have been taught how to ignore the things she does because well... it's just a job. It's not my #1 priority... GOD is. I smile and nod and move on and forget about my day at work when I am not there. Ultimately it does not fall on my shoulders. My soul misses and longs for God's spirit to be upon me in the day. So when I forget to do my devotion in the morning I truly miss that time of intimacy with God. During my devotion in the morning, all my burdens and all my worries are given to him. God's faithfulness amazes even more and more everyday as I see Him answering my prayers. I see him working in our lives... the possibility of moving into a house and just providing for our everything. I have been given the opportunity to experience the presence of God on a daily basis because I have a sincere desire to spend time with Him and for Him to be always present wherever I am in my day. I am forever thankful for the ability that my Father has given me. I realize that even at a whisper "Father..." I know that He is there before my eyes can even twinkle. So I whisper "Father, give me your spirit today so I can be a witness and send your Holy Spirit to us to make this day yours" I pray that you would be able to experience God like I have recently.

Onward to Oregon

Andrew and I will be flying up to Oregon to visit my mom and step-dad from
March 24th to the 31st. I am very excited as I have not seen my mom since
she left for Oregon. And also very excited that I will be off of work for a
week!!!

Thank you to all of you that have prayed and continue to pray for my work
situation and for blessing our lives.

Also, Andrew and I will be celebrating our 1 year anniversary being married
next month. So we will be in Huntington beach for the weekend of April
28th-29th.

I hope all is well with all of you and I continue to pray for all of your
requests. God bless you and keep you walking in his will.

Oregon here we come

Well, since my mom and step-dad moved to Oregon in January, we have been trying to set up a time to go up there and see their new home and to go to Oregon for the first time. We have planned a week long vacation from March 24th-March 31st. I cannot wait for a vacation, I have not taken a vacation like that since our Honeymoon almost a year ago. So needless to say I need a break from work and the hum-drum of waking up every morning and having to go to work...ehhh.

We have been married for almost a year now, and I am so blown away at how fast time has flown by. We are just moving right along getting our debt paid off so we can start saving to buy a new laptop for Andrew, a New car for me, and someday buy a house. Andrew and I are in desperate need of our own computers because we are always fighting over it for the internet... techies. So, that will be out next venture, then to buy me a new car to prepare for having babies... someday :)

Chris Daughtry

I know, I know... it's kinda wierd but I watch American Idol just because I like to see what kind of talent is going to be making music. And me, being in singing for so long, I love to criticize people who can't sing and love to listen to those who REALLY can. So my new favorite is Chris Daughtry, really down to earth cool guy who has an awesome voice. Tonight he sang Fuel "Hemorrhage" and it was awesome. Whooo-hooo for Chris :) If you want to listen/view tonights song for Chris Daughtry check out: www.mrdaughtry.com

My Nightlight

All tucked in safe and warm
No sounds are made, not even a worm

My eyes begin to gently close
I look up and the glow hits my nose

When all is dark
The enemy sets his mark

I will look to you my gracious Nightlight
The battle begins, the enemy took flight

But my dear Nightlight protects me
When all seems lost, He makes me free

Stronger than ever before
With my Nightlight ever more

The darkness begins to close in
My eyes are lifted to my kin

My bold and bright Nightlight
My constant and clear Nightlight bright

Now I am safe, and always have been
The glow that hits my nose, near is my friend

Now I know I can always look
No matter how dark, to my faithful and merciful Night light

Saving me from being overtaken
My precious Nightlight never forsaken

PLEASE PRAY FOR ME

It's official, my boss is going out of her way to get me fired. She has
been extremely sneaky and had given work that I am supposed to do another
co-worker. She is a horrible boss and I have been documenting every
conversation and every email to back up her horrible management. Keep me in
your prayers that God will protect me in my job and give me wisdom in my
words.

Beware of Vistaprint

yeah so today I check my checking account and found a 14.95 charge from a
company BusinessMax. So I called my bank and reported the fraudlent charge
and contacted businessmax. They stated that I had clicked on an ad or
screen that basically signed me up for a 30 day trial. Which was not known
to me. Vistaprint forwarded this company my credit card # and it was
charged when it past 30 days. Beware that vistaprint will give out your
credit card # to charge to their affiliates. Never using Vistaprint again.
Now I have to wait til I get my new card in the mail... Argh!

Being Silent

"Is your integrity "before God" and your relationship with God the single
most important factor in governing your words and responses and behavior?"
-Experiencing the Cross

Reading this at lunch today and it really hit me very hard in what is going
on in my work life. I let these people in my office get to me and let me
get mad and frustrated. And when they ask me to do something ridiculous, I
am not too proud to admit, I am not the nicest person because it is
something they can totally do themselves. I have to reallly pray for 9
hours straight while I am at work otherwise I get so frustrated and just
want to walk out of work and never come back. I used to love the dynamics
of this office, not everyday is horrible and uncomfortable. I have to walk
around on egg shells because all the women in my office are just waiting to
get me into trouble, they are all out to get me. Ehhh another frustrating
day at work... Will I ever be in a good group of people to work with? Lord
give me your spirit and words today. I thank you and praise your Almighty
name Father. Amen.

Journal entry 2/1/2006

I am not that woman
Right now who I am is a distant image
Reamed by words
Tears so uncontrollable
Here I am, a mere little girl
Reaching for her daddy to hold her
The only true comfort I fee is
Spending time with you my Savior
Never thought words could tear me down
Now I know they can if I let them
I feel like the worst person in the world
And I have been
Now I am forced each and every day
to deal with more uncomfort
Lord, give me your spirit
Let me have your attitude
I will need to face the music
and let go of all the things that have hurt me to the core
